• Developed and managed a Professional Consulting Service Group that specialized 
in network modeling and simulation consulting services, capacity planning, enterprise 
network solutions, and establishing interactive corporate capacity planning 
organizations for clients.
• As a management team member developed business plans, organizational 
structures, marketing scope, proposals, and channel partner development.  Directly 
responsible for   developing and managing a certification training group, and 
delivered consulting sales presentations jointly with sales staff to key customers, 
while performing individual consulting assignments.  


INDEPENDENT CONSULTING                                          1993 to 1995

• Conducted multiple contract consulting assignments specializing in data and 
voice networking projects.  Projects encompassed an overall scope of capacity, 
strategic, and contingency planning issues that included network design, traffic 
engineering, modeling and simulation, application sizing network impacts, product 
evaluations, end to end network automation reporting, and infrastructure organization 
development. 

• Strategic development and implementation of Data Network Capacity Planning for 
a large express package delivery company.  This enterprise network plan development 
included network management systems, data collection devices, information downloading 
capabilities to network modeling and simulation tools, network design, and repository 
data base reporting capabilities.  Completed evaluation process for analytical and 
simulation modeling tools. This included the purchase, implementation, and staff 
training.  Contributed in the cost effective design of a new frame relay based data 
network and new client server application sizing relative to traffic analysis impacts. 
 

• Jointly developed with a large stock brokerage client a long term, corporate 
wide enterprise Network Capacity Planning department.  Working closely with management 
to evaluate their current environment, I created and delivered the plan, processes, 
products, people skills and staff, project time frames and tracking, costs and budget 
impacts, successes, benefits, and management presentations.  Interfaced effectively on 
a political level with key infrastructure management, and  organizational partners 
through interviews, and presentations. 

• Published in the May 22, 1995 InfoWorld technical magazine, a two page article 
titled “How To Get The Most Out Of Modeling Tools,” which produced an 
industry wide product comparison of network analytical and simulation modeling tools, 
and a “Decision Analysis Matrix” (DAM) identifying the categories, 
weighing criteria, and relative costs required to produce your own product evaluation 
format.

• Headed and developed a Data Network and Systems Capacity Planning Task Force 
that successfully supported corporate wide organizations.  Responsible for identifying

traffic analysis tracking and optimization recommendations, projections of network

• Responsible for developing Technical Training curriculum for the BofA Systems 
Engineering (BASE) training organization.  Assessed and developed telecommunications

training career path catalog.   Provided instruction in Traffic Engineering & Network 
Design, Voice and Data Network Communications, and Interpersonal Skills Development.

• Management team responsibilities in the planning, development, and 
implementation of BofA’s communications centers and help desk operations.  This 
included systems automation development, project management, industry analysis, 
evaluations, RFP’s, procedures, problem resolution, trouble tracking data base 
development, and staff development.  Performed multiple management roles concurrently 
while directing over 100 supervisors and staff.

• Key member of the BofA Resource Planning organization that produced the first 
corporate telecommunications strategic plan.  Responsible for the initial design and 
sizing of BofA’s Retail Teleservicing Centers, and the identification of a 
multi-million dollar cost containment program implemented by corporate management.

• Project management and implementation of BofA’s Voice Network that 
consisted of over 1200 locations and 70,000 users.  Responsibilities also included 
team leadership, marketing, and end user training.  Recipient of team leadership and 
exceptional performance awards.  

• Telecommunications regulatory analysis and reporting included tariff impacts 
for California, Domestic US, and over 90 International locations.  Interfaces included 
CPUC, FCC, PTT’s, and international regulatory agencies.
