Information Security Sales Engineer - IDS, Application Security

$100K base + $20k MBO bonus + commission

Summary:

Sales Engineer with network security experience for pre-sales support of
enterprise security solutions. Must have a strong security background in
enterprise IDS, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively
support Account Executives during sales cycle.

Working as part of the sales team, Sales Engineers will act as the
technical liaison between the customer and the company. Will deliver
technical sales presentations to targeted prospects/clients/partners.
The sales engineers will work closely with Account Executives and sales
teams while executing the technical aspects of the sales strategy.

Job Description:

The Sales Engineer(s) will be responsible for all technical sales
support for customer and reseller organizations. The key objectives for
the position will center on extensive customer engagements within the
Enterprise, Government and VAR communities. This position will serve as
the pre-sales expert in support of the sales team and will contribute to

all aspects of the sales cycle and will provide product requirements
feedback to marketing and product management.
The candidate should have demonstrated customer technical sales
experience with enterprise network security products and consistently
obtained praise from customers, sales and product management personnel.
The candidate must possess strong presentation and communication skills
at multiple levels (including executive to network security) of an
organization.

Position Responsibilities:

-Provide technical product information and assist in producing accurate
and timely presentations, quotes, RFIs, RFPs,            configurations,
and installation planning
-Support various sales activities that drive prospects through the
awareness and consideration phases of the sales cycle. -Participate at
trade shows and conferences
-Increase acceptance, adoption, and usage of company products within a
client organization to create selling opportunities. -Serve as technical
evangelist in support of the sales force and customer's internal sale
-Interface to product marketing and engineering pertaining to customer
requirements and competitive trends.
-Support technical relationships with strategic partner counterparts

Position Qualifications:

-3+ years of industry experience as Sales Engineer in security
industry.

-Experience as a network security engineer, security administrator in a
large multi-domain environment
-In-depth knowledge of network security concepts with knowledge of email
and messaging security, VPNs and remote access  solutions.
-General knowledge of Information Security Products and Techniques
(Intrusion Detection, Application Security., File Integrity)
-Strong Presentation skills.
-Ability to perform system requirements definition and present technical
product solution.
-Assist in customer evaluations
-Working knowledge of network routing protocols.
-Good interpersonal/customer relations skills and the ability to guide
prospect/client ideas into practical security solutions    using the
client's product suite
-Must be willing to travel and feel comfortable giving presentations
-BS/EE or BS/CS
-CISSP or other certifications preferred
