The principal goal of the effort will be to assist in developing a methodology an architectural concept that promotes, in an evolutionary manner, the transition of current elements of the legacy environment into an integrated, cohesive, adaptable enterprise architecture that meets both current and future customer and user needs. Assess current operational needs of users and customer and assist with the development of the vision for the future Signals Intelligence capabilities and supporting enterprise architecture. Consider methods to extend and/or adapt legacy systems to meet future needs. Assess current legacy data acquisition, processing and distribution architecture in terms of customer requirements and supportability. Identify shortfalls relative to the desired Signal Intelligence enterprise architecture concept. Support the identification and development of methods to integrate new processing technologies to augment and facilitate advanced concepts for data processing and distribution. Participate in the identification and analysis of alternative architectures for achieving desired capabilities. Participate in systems engineering working groups such as requirements analysis, integration engineering, interface definition, concept development and test & evaluation. Assist in the identification and application of sound, systems engineering discipline and practices for development and acquisitions decisions in transitioning from the legacy systems to a distributed, enterprise architecture.
