Senior Enterprise Security Manager
Permanent Position/Western Pa
85 - 115K base salary (based on experience)
Position Summary:
* Establishes and executes policies and procedures for
authorizing access; establishes and maintains security policies and
procedures that address risks introduced by new technologies, platforms,
products, etc.
* Leads in the evaluation, implementation and maintenance
of security and Business Continuation Plan (BCP) tools and works
directly with the Technical Services group to address security as
infrastructure, operating platform and other changes are made across the
enterprise. Leads efforts to centralize, automate and simplify required
security and BCP activities.
* Evaluates security risks across the enterprise and
recommends appropriate security strategies to meet the needs of the
business while effectively managing security risks.
* Evaluates emerging security technologies for
effectiveness and their potential impact; advises system designers and
architects on security solutions aligned with overall security
strategies.
* Establishes and executes procedures for performing
self-audits of the security administration function to detect access
problems and/or inappropriately defined security parameters.
* Performs the administration functions associated with
personnel selection, reviews and the recommendation of
promotion/disciplinary actions; assures the ongoing development of
junior staff.
* Promotes security awareness by managing the ongoing
security orientation and training program, and implementing
communications programs for disseminating timely security information.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
experience
* Seven years of Information Technology experience
including three years in Information Security
* Strong experience of LAN networking
* Advanced knowledge of packet filtering, stateful
inspection and application proxy firewall technologies: Check Point(tm),
Symantec Enterprise Firewall (Raptor), SunScreen EFSTM
* Advanced knowledge of the following: firewall
technologies, Internet security, intrusion detection systems and PKI
Technologies
* Ability to manage, lead and advise on multiple projects
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting and
communication skills
