Role: Design Engineer for Secure Communications Management
Systems, Network/ Wireless communications.
Description:
Will lead and participate in all design activities for the application of
new technology to the Battlefield Network Management System being designed
to satisfy the needs of the Future Battlefield Communications. Will design
the communications network that will allow the field military personnel to
access voice , data and video wireless communications using satellite
technology with 100% uptime and availability regardless of Global location.
This effort will include design associated with the development of
communications equipment systems for the tactical environment including
converged services and computer networking. Activities will include
interpreting architectural proposals, requirements derivation, synthesis and
definition, and interfacing with subcontractors and other engineering
disciplines.
Experience required:
6-15+ years experience in design of Secure Communications Management Systems
for tactical communication systems or commercial wireless communications
systems. Experience must be within a DOD or related organization.
- DESIGN experience with VOIP, 802.11, IPv6 is the KEY.
- A working knowledge of IP-based systems (including familiarity with IPv6),
radio systems and Information Assurance (Firewalls, Access Control Lists).
- Experience with DOORS, Rational Rose and/or C4ISR is required.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
or related technical field.
- CISSP is a plus
