Job Description: This position offers challenging opportunities in the 
areas of: Computer network operations involving network penetration, 
computer surveillance/monitoring, vulnerability assessments.  Computer 
network intrusion analysis/investigation/forensic studies. Development and 
implementation of computer network intrusion and penetration techniques 
and software tools to include code development, integration, and testing.  
Designing software test plans for computer network penetration tools.  
Software source code analysis and debugging. � Research of open and closed 
source information security tools, techniques, procedures, and trends in 
the network security industry and the Internet hacker community.  
Modification of open source computer network intrusion tools.  Knowledge 
and in-depth understanding of network protocols, network routing devices, 
computer security devices such as Firewalls and Intrusion Detection 
Systems, security architectures, methodologies, and tools.  Technical 
experience in hardware/software configurations and network LAN/WAN system 
administration in support of computer intrusion operations. Analysis and 
interpretation of Internet networking protocols at the packet level.  Also 
must have programming capabilities in three or more of the following:  C, 
C++, Java, Perl, Visual Basic HTML/XML, and/or Assembly Language.  
Programming in UNIX and Windows environments.  Development of effective 
documentation supporting software analysis and testing activities and the 
use of computer network penetration tools and techniques.
Reverse engineering of software executables found in the open source 
environment.  Use of software reverse engineering tools such as Soft Ice 
and IDA Pro.

Education: At least three-five years experience and a Bachelor of Science 
degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a minimum of ten years of 
equivalent experience in computer science, information systems 
engineering, or network engineering.

Desired Qualifications: Technical certifications in one or more of the 
following � Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Red Hat Certified 
Engineer, Solaris, and Cisco Network certifications.

Location: This full-time position located in Columbia, MD.

Clearance: A current TS/SCI with lifestyle Poly, Security clearance is 
required.
