Software Technical Lead, GUI and Framework

This person will be responsible for the design & development of the 
graphical user interface (GUI) and associated frameworks and technologies 
for Zone Labs' host-based products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities: 

Take overall technical responsibility for the GUI frameworks employed for 
Zone Labs' host-based products, including ongoing maintenance, future 
planning, new development, build vs. buy decisions, etc. 
Work with Product Design and Product Management to design leading edge 
GUIs for Zone Labs products. 
Working with other Architects and lead engineers within the company to 
ensure compatibility with all interfacing products and to provide 
consistency with similar, inter-company products. 
Mentor other developers, code reviews, and general knowledge transfer. 
Estimate timeframes for development. 
Coding of the more complex pieces.

Qualifications: 

The following qualifications are requirements for this role: 
6+ years experience designing, developing, and debugging commercial 
Windows software 
Deep C/C++ experience 
Mastery of Win32 API 
Detailed knowledge of one or more Windows GUI frameworks, including MFC, 
OWL, VCL, etc. 
A track record of developing APIs/SDKs 
Previous experience as an architect or team lead on a commercial software 
project 
The following qualifications are preferred for this role:

Experience developing with both traditional and Rapid Application 
Development (RAD) tools. 
Experience with additional Windows programming languages, such as Java, 
Delphi, Visual Basic, C#, etc. 
Participation in the design and/or development of OO Windowing frameworks 
Knowledge of TCP/IP and network software development 
Knowledge of network security 
Past success in building user interfaces for non-Windows platforms

Education And/Or Experience: 

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge. 
Minimum 6 years experience designing and developing software on the 
Windows platform.
