Position Title: Systems Engineering Consultant � PS145042 (Perm)

Essential Functions
Enterprise Security Architect with a diverse background including a solid 
understanding of secure application design and security architecture, 
networking and system administration.   
 
This individual will be a key member of the security architectecture team, 
responsible for assisting with the development and maintanance of the 
security architecture domain.  Responsiblities include:  Documentation of 
the current architecture.  Definition of the future architecture 
(standards and principles).  Development of transition plans to migrate to 
the future architecture. Cross-functional technology evaluations.  
Consulting support to other member of the Information Security team.  Act 
as the project sponsor for security related intitiatives.  Provide 
security requirements to projects sponsored by other areas of the 
organizaton.  Work on special projects assigned to the Security 
Architecture Team at the direction of management.  Researching 
technologies, packages, products and vendors for potential use at 
Company.     Working Relationships:  Internal:  Report to the manger of 
the Security Architecture Team.  Has close working relationship with the 
Enterprise Architecture team and peers in Information Security other areas 
of IT.  External:  Regular contact with outside vendors and 
contractors/consultant for additional support as needed.

Marginal Functions
Conduct RFI/RFP development for security initiatives.   Provide technical 
leadership and oversee the implementation of key security systems.  
Suggest and help implement security process improvements.

Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, 
or equivalent, extensive and related project experience.  Five or more 
years of experience in information security  with a minimum of two years 
in information security architecture.  In-depth experience designing and 
implementing security solutions.  Experience managing large projects.  
Good general business knowledge.  Excellent verbal and written 
communication skills.  Ability to multitask and to balance the demands of 
multiple projects.  Works well in a team, both as an individual 
contributor and as a leader that facilitates decisions and consensus 
building.  Ability to establish and maintain a high level of client trust 
and confidence.

Preferred Skills
CISSP certification.  Willingness to learn new concepts quickly and to 
apply these concepts.
