Duties and Responsibilities: This position entails the installation, administration and upgrading of IDS network engines and system agents. The candidate is expected to work as a team member on mid to enterprise sized technical projects that are of average to high-level complexity with an emphasis on ISS RealSecure, Dragon and Snort. The desired individual must possess strong leadership skills; provide advanced enterprise network security implementation, design, and troubleshooting services in extremely complex inter-networking environments. The candidate must have the ability to complete assigned projects on time, which includes, but is not limited to providing analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, reporting, maintenance, production support, and documentation. The candidate must independently identify, troubleshoot, document, and escalate complex problems to Management in accordance with established escalation procedures; track resolution through problem solving cycles and provide resolution to trouble tickets within established timeframes.
Required: BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience. Candidate must have 4+ years hands-on experience with IDS based technologies (software and hardware). Candidate must have 3+ years hands-on experience with Nokia appliances (IP440, IP530, IP650 and IP740) Candidate must have 3+ years hands-on experience with MS windows 2000 (Workstation / Server). Candidate must have solid oral and written communication skills and work well with customers in face-to-face or phone settings Candidate should possess knowledge of network architecture and protocols: TCP/IP, DHCP, Ethernet and Cisco based Routers/Switches. Possess a proven ability and aptitude to analyze problems and provide solutions in a time sensitive environment.
