Essential Functions
A candidate for the Vulnerability Management & Incident Response Team 
requires a strong grasp of information security concepts and 
methodologies, as well as practical understanding of security principles 
such as authentication, authorization, access control, incident response, 
forensics, and protection strategies. The candidate must have demonstrated 
expertise of computer/network security, systems, tools, operating systems, 
and LAN/WAN internetworking protocols such as TCP/ IP and firewalls. They 
must be team oriented and exercise initiative to accomplish assigned 
responsibilities, anticipate problems, and make decisions on 
recommendations for project development and implementation with minimal 
supervision. The selected candidate must have demonstrated experience with 
projects that require partnership with IT and business unit areas.  The 
candidate must have experience with the interpretation of policy and be 
able to decision policy variance requests when appropriate.  The candidate 
must possess critical thinking skills and have the ability to develop and 
maintain information security related processes.

Marginal Functions
Provide Project consulting on security projects involving multiple 
technologies.  Leads projects to improve security on managed systems.  
Provide expertise in the areas of Web development and Database design.

Required Skills
The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, 
information systems, engineering, or the equivalent combination of formal 
education, training, and experience.  Experience in a wide range of 
information security and information technology is required.  Experience 
in the supervision and coordination of others, especially those in 
technical positions.  Experience in dealing with line of business 
representatives.  Experience with various cryptography technologies and 
network security systems and concepts. Experience with Microsoft and UNIX 
operating systems.

Preferred Skills
A self-motivated person with a positive attitude and possessing a "Can Do" 
spirit.  Knowledge and experience with security in the financial sector.  
He/she must have strong oral and written communication skills including 
the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the 
organization in a professional and tactful manner. The candidate must have 
demonstrated ability to work well in a team and independently.  Broad-
based programming experience is a plus.
