TCG is currently seeking a driven and self motivated network engineer with a strong 
information security background for a permanent position in our Nitro, West Virginia 
office.  Expertise requirements include all Windows network and desktop operating 
systems and Linux.  Strong Linux skills will play a major role in candidate selection. 
 Microsoft, Cisco, and other industry certifications are preferable, but not required. 
 Some netware and unix (any flavor) experience is a major plus.  Experience with 
Checkpoint, Netfilter(iptables) and other firewalls a major bonus.  Experience with 
Snort, Dragon IDS, Cisco SecureIDS and/or other NIDS or HIDS is a major bonus.  
Familiarity with IPSEC and other VPN technologies will also be a major bonus.  
Experience with HIP
AA, HIPAA gap assesments, and HIPAA compliance implementation will be a major bonus. 
Programming experience, particularly programming of network-aware applications (in any 
language) will also be considered.

Candidate must be willing and able to rapidly learn new and evolving technologies and 
skills.  Candidates whose skillsets have stagnated around a single product or solution 
need not apply.  TCG will only consider applicants from West Virginia, Ohio, and 
Kentucky.  No relocation expenses will be provided.

Intimate familiarity with TCP/IP layers one through seven are an absolute requirement. 
 Understanding of TCP/IP routing, subnetting, and common TCP/IP services is a 
requirement.

Duties may range from simple desktop and network support and management to penetration 
testing, vulnerability analysis, security systems deployments and management and many 
other security and networking related duties.  A successful candidate should have 
excellent verbal and written communications skills.  A resume and cover letter will be 
required.  Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is a must.  
Candidate must be able to successfully complete a rigorous background check.  Salary 
will be commensurate with experience.
