To apply please send your CV (MS Word) to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Job Specification Principal Intelligence Analyst Company Financial Organisation Location Edinburgh, Scotland Salary TBA Start Date ASAP The Role Operating within the Strategic Intelligence Unit (SIU), the Principal Intelligence Analyst reports directly to the Head of the SIU. The post holder is responsible for providing oversight and co-ordination of all the internal and external intelligence sources and resources in order to assess the contextual intelligence in its entirety and likely impact on the Bank. The derivation of predictive intelligence and analysis of isomorphic events is required to introduce pre-emptive measures (active foresight) that will reduce financial loss, safeguard the Bank's reputation and brands, and prevent criminal activity directed against the Bank.Scope:� Preparation of strategic intelligence assessments based on financial information and intelligence from a wide range of sources.� Develop hypotheses and inferences on the nature of organised crime activity or groups. Identify intelligence gaps and make recommendations for further action.� Maintain an up-to-date awareness of criminal activity and risks experienced throughout the Group, identifying trends and 'hot spots'.� Liaison with tactical teams and cultivation and management of intelligence sources.� Promote the role of the SIU and develop the intelligence capability across the Group. Key Accountabilities � Relationship Management� Strategy Formulation� Intelligence Analysis� Planning� Monitoring and Control� Team Working/Leading Skills Essential � Proven ability to manage all aspects of a demanding intelligence role (including: gathering, collation, analysis, assessments and dissemination).� Excellent analytical skills with an up-to-date knowledge and experience of analytical tools, techniques and methods.� Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management.� Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of information security, physical security, fraud, money laundering and political / environmental / reputation risks.� Proven ability to forge and develop excellent working relationships with intelligence sources, business areas and customers. Capable of influencing senior management. � Good team worker.� General understanding of current crime profiles across the spectrum of criminality.� Previous experience of working within / alongside financial sector highly desirable.� Previous intelligence / security / police experience desirable.
