The Strategic Business Development Manager will be responsible for assisting the CEO in the development of the business strategy that will lead my client into the next phase of their business focused on the Energy Market. The Strategic Business Development Manager will also be expected to assist the Company in executing the business and product development "road map". My client is interested in positioning itself to become the key player and the primary source of Security Solutions in the Energy Market.
Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct market research by interfacing with company insiders, key outside vendors, customers and industry analysts.
- Identify opportunities to expand clients’ position within the market, identify technology trends, industry trends, and competitors.
- Assist in the development of a go-to-market strategy, product development, merger/acquisition, or strategic partnering that will allow my client the opportunity to build a leading position and increase market valuation rapidly.
Qualifications:
-Broad network of high level contacts within the Energy and Utilities Industry.
-Experience in driving corporate strategy initiatives with a focus on network security solutions and/or network management company.
- An understanding of current and future technical requirements required to meet NERC compliance guidelines.
-Experience with or desire to join an early stage company, including being part of a management team that built the organization through accelerated growth to an IPO.
Desired Background:
- At least 15 years experience in Information Technology, including three years of executive level positions with a focus on security solutions and/or network management solutions.
- University degree or degrees in technical fields that would be relevant to assist in the development of our technical marketing strategy.
-MBA or equivalent experience and training in the business strategy analysis and development.
- Strong network of C level contacts (Network Managers, CIO, CISO) within Energy Industry.
