MI-Grand Rapids Position Reference Number: IT AUDIT - Michigan $55,000 - $60,000 + Incentives Relocation Package: Yes Job Type: Full-Time Required Education: Bachelors Job Description: In this role, you will work with a highly experienced team of Audit professionals to evaluate internal controls and information systems. You will assist in determining audit objectives, will prepare audit workplans, will report audit findings and make recommendations to management. In addition to performing traditional IT Audits, the scope of your position will be to provide consulting services to management to help improve business operations and information system processes in the following ways: Perform reviews of existing systems and new system development by performing test work and consulting with various departments, helping ensure that appropriate planning and controls are in place. Perform research by collecting and analyzing financial, operational and computer system data to test the adequacy of controls, verify compliance with operating procedures or regulator requirements and evaluate the effectiveness of business processes and information systems operations such as Telecommunciations, Systems Development, Computer Data Backup, Disaster Recovery Plans, Physical and Logical Information Security, etc. Determine and recommend improvement / cost effective solutions to management to enhance internal controls and efficiency. Present and discuss audit findings and recommend corrective actions needed to improve operations and information system processes. Job Requirements: Requires a BA/BS 4-year degree and 5-7 years of related experience in Information Systems and IT Audit. A CISA is required. Preferred certifications include: CISSP, CPA, CFSA, CIA, etc. In addition to performing traditional controls and IT Audit functions, the candidate this company desires will have the mind of a process improvement consultant. Your audit experience must come from a mixed multi-platform environment including: IBM Maniframe, UNIX, Client Server Systems, Telecommunications, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, Application Security, etc. Travel required in this position is in the 25-30% range and includes International destinations such as Europe, Asia and South America.
