For details see https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3047091&group_id=129076&atid=713730 The INSTALL file is not delivered with the FreeBSD source installation package. Please add it. The FreeBSD post-installation instructions have 2 steps, but it is unclear whether both should be done or (in case of FreeBSD 8+) only step 2 should be done. By the way, these are the same steps as listed at the bottom of this page: http://modis.ispras.ru/sedna/faq.html So what is the difference between having FreeBSD 7.0- without executing the steps and having FreeBSD 8.0+?
