Hi,

I have documents with the Chinese text data (for example <ChineseText>???</ChineseText>).

Sedna is said to have support for Unicode (UTF-8). But Sedna XML:DB API (by Foster) seems not to support UTF-8 at all. I've tried to add xml as a String, SAX Document and DOM Document. That's very bad although XPathQueryService can be used as a workaround.

It's a bit strange then to see one of the news at http://modis.ispras.ru/sedna/news.html

     10/01/2007 XML:DB Driver For Java 1.1 Released

Fixed: XML document storage/retrieval UTF-8 encoding issue

What actually was fixed there? May I be missing something or using in a wrong way? Please advise.

Best regards,
Ivan Lagunov
