Hi Stefan,
It can be related with VM. Sedna uses fsync() to guarantee that data has
been actually written after checkpoint. Performance vary depending on OS,
fs, fs settings, etc. On some systems we observed strange behavior.
I've added additional logs which could help us to determine if the problem
is caused by fsync perfromance.

with release 3.5.101):

Start se_gov with "-el-level 4" and run your workload. We need to collect
some "slow" and "fast" checkpoints in event logs.
