It seems I've misread the question initially.
As far as I remember, Sedna supports XPath 2.0 & XQuery 1.0. I meant that
we will not support XPath 3.0 & XQuery 2.0 because they are redundant and
much more complicated.

At the same time we have no resources to develop Sedna - we are working at
it in the mode of 'bug fixes on request'
