Ahh, right down my alley. Allow me to instruct you my fine gentleman.
:-)

There are many fine lists for Linux out there I'm sure. However,
usually the best linux list you can find is the LUG, a Liunx User Group.
Here, you can find a centralized group of people in your area who use
Linux. Most groups, along with carrying online discussions, will hold
meetings as certain intervals to discuss a topic, hold "install fests"
where members help others get Liunx working on their machine, and in
some groups, might even have copies of downloadable versions burned to a
disk for you.

So, where do you find these illustrious, wonderful people? Well, the
answer you seek out lies here:

http://www.linux.org/users/index.html

This is a part of the official Linux site, with a more or less complete
list of LUGs across the globe. I'd also suggest checking with a search
engine. Example, run a search at your favorite engine for all the
keywords: LUG, your city, your state / country. Hopefully that willl
turn up a few too.

Now if you like, unless you don't feel to compfortable in posting this
info, you can post your locale to the list, and a few of us could turn
up some groups that may help you. Or...you may find one on your own
from the information given.

Good luck, happy surfing, and watch for penguins!
