Please tell us the make and model of your printer so that us finders
can visit the manufacturer's site and look for FAQ's and support sites
and perhaps get a lead on an answer for you.
In the meantime, shut down your virus scanner and your screensaver and
anything else you run in the background and run a full surface
scandisk. When done with that cleaning, you can reboot and rerun your
scanner and scnsaver.
If you have your manual handy for your printer, thumb through it
looking for print spool settings and read how to tweak your spool
settings. For example, I notice that my Epson is set to start printing
right after the first page is spooled. That way, it would seem, my
spool does not get too large on any print job.
If you don't have a manual, then we will need to see if your
manufacturer's web site offers any help to you.
