Was eavesdropping on that Q ya asked Alan. Hope ya don't mind!
You can get rid of those pesky cookies very easily, but you might have a hard
time surfing around some websites if ya disable them. I had mine disabled
just to check it out once, and I was basically denied access unless I set my
preferences to accept cookies. Bummer eh?
Ok a few ways to clean out those lucious fat-free cookies:
This is what I do. (Others may have different ways)
Start/Find/Files/Type in cookies/Select C drive as the place in which to look.
The folder (one of them at least) that holds the cookies and/or other
irritating temp files shows up as being located in Windows. Without closing
the FIND box, double-click on that COOKIES folder and highlight the cookies
and click delete.
Word of caution: If there is a site that you are registered at and you visit
every day, you will have to sign back in, as their cookie enables them to
remember you. When I clean out cookies, I leave the 4 cookies that keep me
from having to log back in all the time.
Oh, there is a program somewhere out there called WindowsCleanUP and another
one called WINDOW'S WASHER/Cookie-Cache Cleaner that will do this for you.
The first one is free, but the second one is lik $20.
