Although I am basically telling you the answer, I just want you and 
everyone to know that I did search out the answer on the WWW.  I have 
these keys on my calculator, but they have never been used and my 
manual is long gone.  So with some searching around the web I came up 
with this answer for us. :-)

MU = Mark-up
MD = Mark-down

You can use these keys to mark up or down the price of something by a 
certain percentage and see what the total marked-up or marked-down 
price equals.  You can also use those keys to determine the percentage 
an item was marked up or down.

The particular procedure to use those keys would depend on your 
calculator.  The actual button order to be pressed in the calculation 
might differ from brand to brand.  You would need to consult a manual 
for your model to learn exactly how to process a mark-up calculation.
