You can try some of the drivers found here, but if they are the same
versions you already have they won't help-
http://www.driverzone.com/drivers/dexxa/
According to the "Dexxa Flatbed 4800 Scanner FAQ" this error is a result of
a limitation of the software-

Here's the quote:
"Q: When I try to scan a full width image, I get an error message that says
"Invalid Page fault" or "Illegal operation" when the scanner starts scanning
the page. Why?
A: This is strictly a limitation the Dexxa scanner driver. The Dexxa flatbed
4800 cannot scan more that 21,845 pixel's per line, thus limiting the
maximum resolution for a full page to 2570 dpi. We apologise for any
inconveniences. Future updates will be available on the Dexxa web site.
Visit http://www.dexxa.net/ for updates."
Here's another URL to keep handy for your scanner-

According to Dexxa's site they sold it's scanner business to Storm
Technologies in December 1997.
Here's the URL-

They provide the last Dexxa Flatbed Scanner 4800 driver developed here-
