So, Netscape 6 allows you to manage AOL mail, but only if you have the AIM
component installed. It uses IMAP for mail transport, but the user
authentication module from AIM, so no access from OE or TheBat! or Pegasus
or Poco or. . .

Netscape NetMail changed all user accounts that overlapped with AOL
customer addresses eariler this year.

Now, they are rolling out a new version of NetMail that integrates with
AIM -- you can see the mail sender's AIM on-line status from the mail
screen, like you can when on-line with AOL (who have also added number of
mail messages to the switch screen name screen.)

Wanna bet that NetMail will also be accessible from Netscape 6, an answer
to Hotmail integration in the IE/OE suite?

Now, the question is if you can roll your AOL addresses over to Netmail
and cancel your AOL account..... naaah, probably not.
