I think perhaps your best bet is in software, rather than a remote 
email service.  Check out NewsFerret:

Most USENET searching services closed out the past year or two, pretty 
much leaving Deja.com as the only USENET newsgroup archiving and 
searching service.  I could not find anything on the Deja.com site that 
would indicate they have an email service.
