You can also create them with software. However, I wish to stress that
you should never send unsolicted binary files via e-mail without first
getting express permission from your recipient. And by all means, you
should NEVER open or execute a binary file attached to your email
without first scanning the file with your virus scanning software. Of
course, that just goes for when the sender is known to you. If the
sender is not known to you, you need not scan the software, but instead
just delete it, immediately.
I would recommend that you instead take advantage of the many virtual
ecard services you can find on the web. Your friends will enjoy
receiving their webcards that only require them to click onto a link
which opens their browser to your card. They are quick and easy and
cause no undue harm to your recipient.
