has anybody here tried the software adsubtract (www.adsubtract.com) ?
its a software application that acts as a proxy server to your browser.
im interested in creating the same application (for personal/educational
purposes). my plan is to add features like blocking certain URLs from
loading (given a keyword), the ability to change the referer, block or
modify cookies, ads, pictures, etc. ive already created a similar
application, however, its just a plugin to IE. with proxy server you have
more control.
can anyone point me to information and resources on how to create this proxy
server application? im more inclined in using visual c++ but i'd appreciate
information from different programming languages.
