Some e-mail programs, e.g. The Bat!
www.ritlabs.com/the_bat, Pegasus Mail, Eudora Pro
(or the latest shareware editions of simply
Eudora) have options like "Reading Confirmation"
and "Delivery Confirmation".
Delivery confirmation usually is sent
automatically by a server, but the reading
confirmation depends on the person who received.
One can select 'do no send the confirmation' or
'never send', depends on the software.
But most e-mail programs, I think, are unable to
meet the request of reading confirmation.
In this e-mail of mine, I checked "x" both for
"Confirm receipt" and "Readind confirmation". So I
may expect some people sending me (and maybe not
only me!) their confirmations.
