Hello everyone. :-)
As you all know my mailing list host here for our ashlists.org does
not allow us to have a sister digest list for the majordomo lists I
set up. This is still the case. Nevertheless, I have recently made
arrangements where any member that wishes can receive the seeknfind
messages in collated digest(s) each day in lieu of the individual
messages you are now receiving.
I have set up a "Remote" list at YahooGroups called "seeknfind-d".
In doing this, I am able to bring certain services to our list here
at ASHLists.org. The number one service is that I can now provide
any member that wishes, digest services in lieu of individual
messages. In addition to that, for members that wish to participate,
subscribers to the remote list will be able to view archives; upload
and share files; use the chat service; and just about anything that
YahooGroups offer members.
How this would work for those wishing to only receive a digest for
the SeeknFind list, is that you would unsubscribe from the seeknfind
list here at ASHLists and then subscribe to both the seeknfind-digest
list at ASHLists.org AND the seeknfind-d list at YahooGroups. You
then would continue to post to [EMAIL PROTECTED], but your
digest would be distributed to you from the YahooGroups group,
seeknfind-d.
This is completely optional. If you are the type to lurk our list
and/or feel that sometimes the total daily messages are more than you
can handle, you just might like to try this new digest service. If
you choose to switch, I will take care of all the administration
chores for you. Just send me a message like this:
TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
BODY: Change seeknfind to digest services
...and then I will take care of it for you. :-)
For any other member that just wishes to have an entry into the
YahooGroups group, seeknfind-d, in order to participate in the other
services offered, such as the archives, the link posting, the file
sharing, etc, send me a message like this:
TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
BODY: No switch, but sub me to seeknfind-d
...then I will sub you to the yahoogroups and set your subscription
option there to NOMAIL/Web-Only. You will continue to get individual
messages from [EMAIL PROTECTED], but you will then be able to
log into the seeknfind-d group site at yahoogroups.com and partake of
the services there.
Of course, with any requests you make here, be patient with me. I am
working a six day work week this week. <g>
So that's it. I hope this is not that confusing for you. I have
tested this out with my POP3 list and it seems to work fine. :-)
Okay, back to business everyone. I want to compliment all our
"Finders" on the list. You are all doing a fabulous job and I very
much appreciate it. :-)
