Hi Soundara,

This is not a story regarding exactly "elimination in line of duty" and I
do not know what you mean by "third world counties", but we have a very
strong story here in Argentina. It is the murder of the photographer Jose
Luis Cabezas. What makes it strong is that some relates it to the very
powerful businessmen Yabran (his last name, I am not sure about his first
name). among other business he owned one of te biggest mail companies.

Jose Luis Cabezas was a photographer. He was killed after he left a party
in honor of Yabrans birthday (I guess it was his birthday) to which he was
invited with a friend (the friend was not killed).

He appeared burnt into his car in a side of a street (unpopulated). The
party was in the city of Pinamar, a very nice and distinguished summer
place by the sea in the province of Buenos Aires, where many rich people
have nice houses.

The crime is still unsolved.

This businessmen Yabran -who accumulated a tremendous fortune in the last
years due to privatizations and monopolies in Argentina) was suspected of
sending him to murder. The only evidence being Jose Luis Cabezas was the
only person who dare to take Yabran a photo while walking in the beach with
his wife. Nobody could ever do that. Yabran was never seen in public
before. He only spoke trough his spokesmen, the lawyer Bunge (I am not sure
about the name).

As usual the police procedures where not very neat and they could not save
some clues, like they did not isolated the car at time, bla, bla.

After days of search , the gun was found, and so many clues were followed
and suspects were called by the police.

To make it short, this person Yabran was very suspected, but no evidence.
Just like all the bad thoughts went to him (he was not a transparent person).

After some time he had to went to the court and appear in public.

Things went worse for him and he recluded in a house in the province of
Entre Ros (from where he was) , in a house in the country, alone (except
for some employees).

After some time a capture order was released. before the police arrived at
the house he shoot himself with a gun (I do not know if rifle is the right
word). Some could hear the shot.

Some say he was left apart by the power.

Some even did not believed he was dead at first.

Cabezas crime is still uncleared. there are books about Yabran and this
story. It happened 2 years ago I think. Some reporters in TV still use a
black ribbon in his memory.

I think you have part of the work done if this story fleets.

I wrote it by memory, so many details are not exact, but the general idea
is ok.

There ia a story about a photographer of filmer who was shoot and continued
to film till he dead, I guess he was from Chile, but I am not sure.
