I dunno. The Library of Congress catalog page is here:

http://catalog.loc.gov/

I am going to this search page now:

http://catalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?DB=local&PAGE=hbSearch

...and...hmmm...dern....your book is not listed there.

Yes, Amazon and Barnes and Noble lists the "Revised Edition" of the
book that was issued in 1994.

Normally, I would go to one of the major online bookstores for this
purpose.

Ah...okay, here is something...the BiblioFind site:

http://www.bibliofind.com/

Let me just enter "Papert" in the Author's space:

...and...Bingo...got a first edition sold at Abintra Books. It
indicates this is a 1992 edition. Another listing for the same book
and the same edition, indicates an issue date of 1993 and it is sold by
Nutmeg books....okay...another 1992 listing sold at
Bookdreams.com...another 1993 issue sold at fleamarket.com...another
1992 issue at biblosession...

Okay, now let's visit some of these bookstores to see if we can get the
answer to your question. Hmmm...okay, well it seems that Bibliofind
controls all of the book buying for all their affiliated bookstores.
It seems the best information I am getting is that this 1992 book is a
first edition in the US.

Okay, now I am in the Bookdreams.com site, which is physically located
only an hour's drive from me. <--- useless trivia. <g>

http://www.bookdreams.com/home.htm

And guess what? Their search engine is actually the same search engine
as the Bibliofind search engine, so we are back to square one -- same
place as before.

Anyway Daniel, has any part of this enormously long response I give you
in any way answered your question? :-)
