Greetings. The Phoenix, Arizona "Republic" printed a political cartoon on
November 19, satirizing the Texas A&M Bonfire disaster. The cartoon by
Steve Benson was captioned "Texas Bonfire Traditions". It compared the
bonfire to the Branch Davidian compound fire and a cross burning in Jasper,
Texas.
The newspaper has now removed the cartoon from its website and offered an
apology for its publication.
I am looking for an electronic copy of it; I know it exists
somewhere. Anyone have it as an email attachment or something?
