I am not sure if Phil realized at that time he answered your question
that you were located in India. In fact, when I answered the question,
I had not yet looked up your location.
Unless you are very wealthy man, having a custom built device made for
you could prove prohibitively expensive.
Mr. Finlaw's suggestion was your best alternative, but getting the
device from an individual Radio Shack store could be difficult unless
there are Radio Shack stores in India, near you. :-)
I have two suggestions. Write Mr. Finlaw offlist and see if he can do
anything for you. If you have a valid credit card and if Mr. Finlaw
can secure the device for his Radio Shack store, and if you are willing
to pay the extra charges for International mailing and handling, and if
Mr. Finlaw is even willing to do this for you, then just perhaps you
can get this device mailed to you.
My alternate suggestion would be to review scheduler and alarm software
that could be run on your PC. If you can find software that is
acceptable to you, then if you want a portable device, you could opt
for such things as Palm or CE handhelds or Laptop computers.
