Hi all:
I need to find a good, managable web based java chat room for my site
that is free or very reasonably priced.
I have tried about 15 different web based chats and all are very
limited or flawed. These are my requirements:
***I must be able to install the chat on my site, not direct visitors
to another site.
***It must be a private chat, and not listed anywhere. I keep my chat
pages password protected, but a lot of the services I tried ALWAYS list
the chat in their offerings or said they'd make it private and did not.
***It must be configurable (to some extent) with my site.
***It shouldn't have a minium or maximum number of chatters.
***It must have a registration proceedure and controls understandable
by humans (if you've tried some of the ones out there, you know what I
mean!)
***No content policing. (My site is not *adult* but I don't believe in
cencorship.
I don't care about banner ads, or a lot of fancy controls. It doesn't
have to have the auto smily thing, colors or the ability to boot
people, but, of course any of those things would be nice.
