Hello Seekers and Finders.
Last night I learned of some very disturbing news. Topica.com, the
web-based mailing list hosting service has claimed to have hijacked
Esosoft mailing lists, including our SeeknFind mailing list, and is
moving the lists to their servers, thus ending the Majordomo service I
have with Esosoft.
I have several unanswered messages sent in to Esosoft support and
service, to get some answers to these outrageous claims made by
Topica.com, but as of yet no answer.
If Topica.com has the mailing addresses of our Seeknfind list, then you
should be aware that your privacy and the security of your address may
have been compromised. I regret this, but I am totally unable to
prevent the events that are occuring now.
In a word, Topica.com sucks. It's web site is a design nightmare and
it's servers are slow and unreliable. It is one of the most difficult
web-based hosts I've used as a subscriber to it's lists, to manage my
lists. It will not be a friendly site for those of you whom have only
e-mail.
I am in the process of trying to find a new host for our mailing list.
I will keep you all posted of any changes that are to occur in the near
future. I hope you will all be patient, as I may not have a lot of
time to answer the onlist questions that you seek until this matter has
been resolved.
