Subject: [GRVMAG] GeoCanada2000 Meeting - Calgary May 29 - June 2,
2000
The GeoCanada 2000 Convention next May will involve all
the major earth science societies in Canada. It will be held at the University
of Calgary (posters and exhibits will be in the Olympic Speed Skating Oval - a
beautiful venue) May 29 - June 2, 2000.All potential field types are invited to submit poster papers for dedicated session on gravity and magnetics topics - both case histories and new methodology. There will be some time allocated in the day for posters only. You will be expected man your poster during these special times (probably two hours at the end of the day). You are encouraged to include computer presentations as part of your poster session if you wish, but you must provide the computer equipment!
Final deadline for abstracts is January 7, 2000.

Other miscellaneous notes:
- The organizers of the core workshop are particularly interested in having some mining core included.
- abstracts may be submitted in MS Word 95 or higher, WP 6.0 or higher, PS, or extended PS.
- language of abstract may be English or French
- estimated attendance: 5000 - 6000
- estimated abstracts: > 1000 with 40% being posters
