At the end of January 2000 Fugro signed a Letter of Intent to acquire all the operations of the Geodass group of companies. Geodass was established in 1979 as an airborne geophysical company and operates across the whole of the African continent. Its headquarters are in Johannesburg (South Africa) and it has subsidiaries in Botswana and Namibia. Geodass is the premier airborne geophysical survey company in Africa and will strengthen and complement Fugro Airborne Survey's activities on the continent.
