Geosoft recently released a new 3D Surface Display technology for exploration professionals who want to create data compilations, interpret results, or present results to technical or non-technical decision-makers using 3D perspective views. The technology is available through both licensed and free versions of Oasis montaj - the company's core Spatial Data Interface for mineral exploration. With the new 3D technology, a project manager can now use the free interface - a robust view / print / conversion tool -- to view 3D perspectives and interpretations in maps received from a technical professional working on a remote exploration site. Technical professionals who have licensed versions of Oasis montaj also have the ability to create a 3D perspective view of any Geosoft-supported grid or image file format by draping a colour grid or image file over a data grid, or by displaying Geosoft images over topographic or other grids. These 3D perspective presentations provide simple tools for creating 3D data integrations using geological, geochemical, satellite, topographic and geophysical data and images - with the objective of enhancing interpretations and decision-making processes.
