Dear List Members,
Are you aware of airborne geophysical surveys flown in Ontario, Canada
that might be available for purchase from industry (e.g. mining

ONTARIO'S OPERATION TREASURE HUNT:
PURCHASE OF AIRBORNE GEOPHYSICAL DATA FROM INDUSTRY
Dear Colleague,
In 2000, the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM),
completed a successful Proprietary Airborne Geophysical Data Purchase as
part of Operation Treasure Hunt. Twelve surveys totalling 117,000 line-km
were purchased from industry, incorporating a mixture of magnetic, time-domain
EM, frequency-domain EM and VLF data. The digital and map products resulting
from that Data Purchase are scheduled for release this Spring.
This email concerns a new Proprietary Geophysical Data Purchase. The
document describing the Request for Information/Call for Data is now available
for download from Canada's government electronic tendering service at
www.merx.cebra.com. The first two pages of this document are attached. The
purpose of the document is to determine from respondents what airborne
geophysical surveys in Ontario are available from industry. MNDM plans to use
these responses to prepare purchase offers for specific surveys.
If requested, Paterson, Grant & Watson Limited, in our role as the OTH
Geophysicist, will provide you with a copy of the Request for Information/Call
for Data by email, fax or mail. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any
questions. Please note the dates of the information meeting (February 15, 2001
in Toronto) and the deadline for submission of responses (2 p.m., March 2,
2001 in Sault Ste. Marie).
Kindest Regards,
