Wow! Thanks for catching the oversight yourself! I'm impressed!
Regarding the Minutes...they look great! Here's a follow-up on a
few of the scholarships available to women in the geosciences.

1) The application due date for the Association for Women Geoscientists
Chrysalis Scholarship is March 1st. Details for the scholarship are on
the AWG web site. http://www.awg.org/eas/chrysalis.html
This is pretty tight timing for applicants who haven't already started
collecting the necessary recommendations, etc... But, consider this
a heads up to candidates for next year!
*** The Chrysalis Scholarship provides degree-completion funding
for three women geoscience graduate students whose education has been
interrupted for at least one year. The awards are intended to cover
thesis/dissertation costs such as typing or drafting expenses, child-care,
or anything necessary to assist a degree candidate during those critical,
final days. ****
A side note: The AWG Education Committee recommended that the
funds be consolidated to offer two larger scholarships...on the order
of $2000 and AWG Foundation approved this recommendation
whole heartedly.

We (AWGF) also have collected sufficient funds to offer an AWG Ethnic
Minorities Scholarship next Spring. We're in the process of forming our
Scholarship Committee, recommending procedure and criteria, etc.
Know someone who should be on that committee? Let me know!

I'd love to include representation from the mineral exploration community!
Potential candidates for the scholarship should check in next Fall.

Sorry I won't make it to PDAC...perhaps I'll see a few of you at SAGEEP
in Denver next week! Thanks again Ken for the acknowledgement of
women in geophysics and the exploration industry. As they might say
down-under..."No worries mate!"
