All:

I think poor Crebs is getting a overly damp in the wetware department and
maybe needs a good ditty to cheer him up while ALL OF THE REST OF US are at
the PDAC having a REALLY GOOD TIME.

Terry, take wander by the web site below; most of I have seen is geological
in nature, maybe while the rest of us are off making whoopee, you can apply
your balladeer skills to coming up with some good refrains for the geofiz
types. To help start you off, I think we really need something to balance
the "Sea Floor Spreading Lament"; the only way they could figure this out
with was with magnetic data! Maybe something along the lines of "Ode to
Magnetic Reversals"...Terry I leave it to you.

Subject: [SEGMIN]: Specialization in Mining Geophysics?

Hi Mining Geowizards and Geowizardesses,

Old Crebsy was thinking the SEGMIN board may be getting a bit boring/staid.
So, here's a little quote which might get a "stinging" retort from one of
our
esteemed EM, Mag, Grav, Seismic, IP/R, MT/AMT, GPR, AEM, Inversion,
Processing, Field, Database, etc. specialists <grin>:

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an
invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write
a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort
the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone,
solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program
a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die
gallantly. Specialization is for insects." Robert Heinlein

Yeah, the "diaper" one always grossed me out too. Have fun at the PDAC.
Regards, T.
