Dear colleagues,

This is just to remind you (SEE ABSTRACT DEADLINE BELOW) of the special
session being held at the 2002 Geological Society of America Meeting
(Denver, October 27-30, 2002):

Session T-32, MAGNETIC MAPPING OF NORTH AMERICAN GEOLOGY [Poster]

Magnetic anomaly data has proven to be a powerful tool in determining the
structure, geologic processes, and tectonic evolution of the North American
continent. Such data allow a view of continental-scale trends, help link
widely separated areas of outcrop and unify disparate geologic studies. To
coincide with the release of a new, updated digital database of magnetic
anomaly data for North America, we invite papers on the utility and
application of magnetic data for such studies.

Convenors: Mark Pilkington, Geological Survey of Canada,
([EMAIL PROTECTED]); Carol A. Finn, U.S.G.S. ([EMAIL PROTECTED]); Israel
Hernandez, Consejo de Recursos Minerales, Mexico ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
