Regards Ken Witherly --------------- Subject: SEG Annual Meeting Final Announcement We have good news for SEG members who hate standing in line to register at the Annual Meeting. The deadline for Advance Registration was extended several months ago to September 16. However, the deadline for Advance Housing Registration remains September 6. Some traditional events at the Annual Meeting have been scheduled at new times this year, so we're forwarding the following dates/times to help you optimize your stay in Salt Lake City. Note that the Honors and Awards Ceremony and the Presidential Address, normally held Monday morning, have moved to Sunday afternoon. * Advance Housing Reservation Deadline: September 6, 2002 * Advance Meeting Registration Deadline: September 16, 2002 * Continuing Education Course Advanced Registration Deadline: September 16, 2002 * Honors and Awards Ceremony: Sunday, October 6, 2002 * Presidential Address: Sunday, October 6, 2002 * Keynote Speaker Dr. Robert D. Ballard: Monday, October 7, 2002 To help you plan your visit, the Technical Program Schedule is available at http://meeting.seg.org. Abstracts will be available in early September. This year's program contains 488 oral presentations, 144 poster presentations, 11 workshops, and six special sessions. Workshops will run through Friday, October 11, 2002. A list of workshops is currently online as well.
