Dear Colleagues

This was posted on the grav/mag list and I felt it would be of interest to
the members of the SEGMIN list as well.

1. What is the status of the Bouguer Gravity database at UTEP? Corine
Prieto responded that the database is titled PACE Bouguer. The area was
mostly Western US including Mexico. When Randy Keller left UTEP he released
the PACE to someone at USGS and it has been in limbo since. Last year UTEP
got a new Dean of Geology; Corine asked him to consider retrieving the PACE
by returning the database to UTEP to build & maintain. He seemed interested
to consider doing this as long as there was interest from the community. The
question now is: Is there interest from the community? Rather than flooding
the list server with responses, I suggest you respond to me on the gravmag
chair email address <mailto:[email protected]>
[email protected] and I will compile the results and report back.
Please send me an email if you have some interest in the Pace gravity
database.
