The USGS has an active announcement to hire one or more geophysicists within the Geology, Geophysics, and Geochemistry Science Center in Denver. These 4-year term positions involve a mix of project management, field work, data processing, data dissemination, and report writing. Projects span a range of applications, incorporate the full range of geophysical techniques, and involve considerable interfacing with staff geologists, geochemists, and economic geologists. Applicants must have one year of appropriate professional experience in geophysics that is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service. Such positions generally require completion of a doctorate degree in geophysics or geological sciences, or the equivalent knowledge from experience.
