The USGS has an active announcement to hire one or more geophysicists
within the Geology, Geophysics, and Geochemistry Science Center in Denver.
These 4-year term positions involve a mix of project management, field
work, data processing, data dissemination, and report writing. Projects
span a range of applications, incorporate the full range of geophysical
techniques, and involve considerable interfacing with staff geologists,
geochemists, and economic geologists.

grade. (https://www.federalpay.org/gs/locality/denver).  Applicants must
have one year of appropriate professional experience in geophysics that is
equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service.  Such
positions generally require completion of a doctorate degree in geophysics
or geological sciences, or the equivalent knowledge from experience. We
anticipate an additional announcement at the GS-7/9 level within the next
two months.
