Thanks Stephen
At GBP 3000 a pop they are also likely predicting increasing revenues
from the future forecasting publishing market;-)
Based on history alone I think we can say that as the market improves,
which it certainly will, (already going gangbusters here) there will be
consolidation at the top end of the market as the large players remove
competitors and disruption at the bottom end as small operators enter,
particularly with drones which have a very low cost of entry barrier.
The larger operators will be quietly lobbying the flight safety people
to have them shut down to keep the market to themselves. Now is the time
to collect your mid-tier stubby holders and caps because they probably
won't be around in 10 years. (I don't have a Sanders cap yet Greg or
Xcalibur, Tiaan) CGG might finally be able to offload their business,
although they may have a change of heart and buy their competitors instead.
The real market will be in the miniaturisation of systems so that they
can fly on drones although there will be a short term parallel push to
upsize the drones to carry more load and stay in the air for longer.
Full report (which will look a lot like the summary above) available for
5c from me.
Cheers
Kim

Visiongain Report: The Airborne Geophysical Services Market will see
Increasing Revenues over the Next Decade and Forecasted to be $4.3bn
in 2019 due to Surging Demand for Natural Resources
Curious mix of mainly seismic companies consulted to prepare this
report. Also, FIFA listed as an end user (?) with a special section on
the market in Qatar.
