Dear Colleagues-

I got the following this AM. Maybe we know why a gradient mag was being
asked about a few weeks ago!

Regards/Ken

The Hot Point Greenland expedition immediately needs a volunteer to run a
gradient mag survey in search for the Grumman 'Duck' with 3 airmen aboard,
lost in 1942. The geophysicist who was to do this backed out at the last
moment. Whoever takes on the task must find and bring a gradient mag as
part of the deal. My guess is that whoever signs on will be away for 4
weeks, 2 working and the other two getting there and back etc. Expenses
paid but nothing else. It will be a good team and great experience.

The icecap there is stunning. Probably fly up from the US base maybe in New
Jersey on military cargo Herc via Iceland to Kulusuk then 160 km south by B3
or Sikorsky. Team may be 20+ including military. They will be flying a
drone with GPR and think they are pretty close to the target we believe we
saw evidence of a few years ago. Finding it would hit international news
and no doubt a book so there is some notoriety to be gained.

Anyone interested must contact Jim Salazar in California ASAP
