Dear SEGMIN community, It's that time of year again to write abstracts and scrounge up reviewers! First of all, my great thanks to past reviewers; I hope you'll all contribute again!
This year's *SEG Annual Meeting <https://seg.org/AM/2020> will be held in Houston, TX (October 11-16, 2020)*. The SEG Abstract Management System will open on February 1st and will allow the submissions of abstracts for the technical program until the deadline on April 1st. We expect there will be *two oral session and one poster session focused on mining this year *and I look forward to seeing great content from our community once again. In addition, we are planning workshops and a field trip... it's going to be a GREAT meeting! The abstract process would not be complete without the time volunteers put in to review them. *If you are interested in being a reviewer this year, please send me ([email protected] <[email protected]>) an email with* - your name - your email - a brief sentence about your expertise - if you will be attending the annual meeting *Please don't reply to this email - you'll email the entire list server!* *The abstract review process will start around April 10th and will close on April 27th. *Please ensure you will be able to review papers in that time frame before emailing me. We try to assign only 1-2 abstracts to each reviewer so the time commitment is fairly minimal. Having good reviewers is always critical to ensuring the technical program will have high quality content. Many thanks in advance, Sarah -- Sarah Devriese, PhD, P.Geo.
