Thanks all for the responses re WinGLink. I found a couple of users with licenses who offered to help out, and we’re working through that, so thanks SEGMIN. I was also able to get a partially-functioning demo copy of the software direct from Schlumberger without difficulty. The latest version seems to be 2.21.08 (but the manual says 2.20.12) and it still references Windows XP as the latest Windows OS, but it runs in Windows 10 and they’re still happy to sell it. Cheers, Nick

When the old Geosystem folks (Don Watts and Sylvia Foresti) sold to Schlumberger, all of the IP became owned by Schlumberger, including WinGLink. For a while, Schlumberger supported WinGLink, but for the last few years (a decade?) it has become frozen and all new development is done in an MT module for Petrel. Then when the old Geosystem folks left Schlumberger and went to Fugro then CGG, they had to develop a new package. So they bought the IP for the David Wight original Geotools from Arnie Orange and developed the new Geotools. If you still need help Nick, I have a copy of WinGLink. Not the last version in existence, but the one before. Or contact Luca Masnaghetti <[email protected]><mailto:[email protected]> at Schlumberger. Luca is the head of the multi-physics group in Milan.
