Hey guys,
In light of the upcoming District Champs, I wanted to check up on each team regarding two things:
1) Who is/isn't planning on sending a women's team to Galveston the weekend of Women's Champs (April 22-23), and
2) Out of those of you who are capable of doing so, which have already entered a women's team in a qualifier regatta this semester?
For those of you who did not attend the Annual Meeting early February, I want to regurgitate the importance of this whole Women's business: last year there was a confusion as to how many berths we (SEISA) had at Nationals. Tulane thought they had qualified along with TAMUG, but because of a lack of participation at our Women's Champs that weekend and as a whole, our second berth was taken away. This year, we have also suffered another berth loss in the Co-ed department
because of our stagnant growth as a district.
However, I KNOW we can fix this.
Therefore, knowing just how much potential SEISA has this year, especially with the growing number of women on each team, I really want to show the rest of ICSA that we can pull it together and get our second berth back once and for all.
You all have two more chances to qualify for Women's District Champs:
1) This weekend at Texas A&M, and
2) April 15-16 at Kansas University.
If just ONE representative from EACH team could send me a response to this e-mail letting me know your plans, I'd greatly appreciate it!
